DHC Hair Cosmetic Series Hair Lotion Morning Review

Hello hello! I'm doing a review for this hair product that I bought from sasa. I first heard this from Eki and decided to buy one for myself from Sasa since she did a great review about it. I'm soooo happy that I did buy it! Great stuff! I usually use it in the morning when I do not have the time to shower. I spray my hair with water first then spritz this afterwards and blow dry it in "cool" setting.. Oh my! It leaves my hair silky soft and smooth. I love how it smells too.. It has a very girly smell.. haha..That's how I imagine it everytime I smell it.. XD corny...lol Anyway, you guys should check out her blog.. She gives great reviews on products.. :)Thanks to her, this is going to my HG items haha!

If you guys are planning to buy one, better hurry.. It gets sold out quick! I actually have to wait for mine to be in stock. As soon as this item was in stock that time, I jumped and bought it already and was thinking to buy two at the time but they do not allow me to buy two of these for some reason. It cost me $11.00 from sasa plus shipping.. The last time I checked which was 5 minutes ago, this item is still in stock.. Please let me know if you guys got it...If so, how was it? Did you like it? Any pros or cons?

Have Fun!

Skin Care at Night

I want to share my nightly skin care regimen. I've tried so many skin care products out there for my face to use at night but failed. Either I will have those bumps on my face or my face will turn really oily. I was so desperate to try every single products out there and found LANEIGE skin care line. This product is well known in South Korea. I gave it a go after explaining it to the saleslady my skin condition. I have a combination skin. Every summer, my skin will be oily and when winter hits, I get these dry patches on my face.. gross! So I finally made the purchase and I'm really glad I did. I've been using the LANEIGE skin care for awhile now.

From left to right: Laneige Power Essential Skin Refiner_EX, Laneige Balancing Emulsion 1_EX, Laneige Water Bank Essence_EX, Laneige Water Sleeping Pack_EX, Laneige Water Bank Cream 1_EX
1. After cleansing, I saturate the cotton with this onto my clean face. I love how it smells like. :)

Product Benefits:

- Removes dried keratin and purifies the skin for clear and transparent skin.
- Bio Dusali, extracted from fermented seaweed with strong energy of life, supplies energy to the skin and promotes keratin turnover, while the Hyacinth extracts purify the skin from heavy metal, smog, and other harmful materials to leave the skin moist and transparent.
- Exfoliating enzymes gently remove the dead skin cells with less irritation. Skin-nourishing royal jelly extracts and sugar cane extracts refine dry and rough skin for moist and healthy skin.

2. After applying the refiner, I apply this on my face.

Product Benefits:

- Hydro balancing emulsion for dry and rough skin to keep soft and transparent.
- Bio Dusali, extracted from fermented seaweed with strong energy of life, supplies energy to the skin and promotes keratin turnover, while the Hyacinth extracts purify the skin from heavy metal, smog, and other harmful materials to leave the skin moist and transparent.
- Jojoba oil, similar to the moisture barrier of the skin, and royal jelly, rich in nutrition, effectively moisturizes dry skin.

3. Then after step 2, I apply the Water Bank Essence. (Around a hazel-nut sized amount)

Product Benefits:

- A 24-hour long-lasting moisture essence that contains mineral water for skin regeneration and Water Pump System for moisture circulation to safeguard skin moisture and hold it in to leave the skin moisturized and smooth.

- Instantly dampens the skin with ample moisture and forms a natural moisture barrier on skin surface to protect the moisture that is in the skin.

- Contains chestnut extracts and seaweed extracts to enhance keratin turnover to fight roughness and energizes the skin for a smooth and healthy texture.

4. After the essence, I apply this which is the last step. (hazel-nut sized amount too)

Product Benefits:

- A 24-hour long-lasting moisture cream with a strong hydrating effect and a rich texture to refine a rough skin into a smooth and shiny skin.

- Contains mineral water for skin regeneration and Water Pump System for a moisture circulation to safeguard skin moisture and hold it in to leave the skin moisturized and smooth.

- Contains grape seed oil and mango seed oil with anti-oxidant and soothing properties to emulsify the skin and supply nutrition and energy.

Twice a week I use the Laneige Water Sleeping Pack:

After applying the refiner and emulsion, I will skip the other steps to put this. You can use it once or twice a week. It depends on how dry your skin is. After taking the appropriate amount, I mark my nose, cheeks, chin, and forehead, then gently massage it on my face then working towards my neck.

Product Benefits:

Night time skin transmission (permeability) shows higher rate than the one in the day time.
Applying it right before sleep time, the best state for the skin transmission according to the skin circadian rhythm, maximizes the efficiency of overnight water supply.
The function of skin remarkably declines in the night time. Enriched with Beta-glucan, Water Sleeping Pack_EX deeply hydrates fatigue and dry skin while Ceramide SLN formula strengthens the skin barrier.
With containing the Snow Water, it helps to keep your skin look more crystal clear and vitalized.

- Antioxidant effect of Hunza Apricot Extracts helps brighten skin tone evenly by removing harmful oxygen and purifying skin.

- Recoverine from Chestnuts promotes turnovers of horny layers to remove dead cells away for vigorous water supply and sleek skin texture.

- An aromatic essence compound exclusively developed by AMOREPACIFIC, Sleepscent™(Patent application No. 10-2009-0043726), helps to relax your mind and body and derive for a good sleep. A good sleep effect allowing sufficient relaxation eventually reinforces skin restoration for healthier skin condition. Essential oils from Orange Flower, Rose, Ylang Ylang, Sandal Wood etc. are contained in the Sleepscent™.

- Light gel-type texture without stickiness but moisture leaves you a comfortable sleep.

That's all! I know this is a multi-step skin regimen but it works for me. Now, I actually have the courage to try something else like the Shiseido White Lucent skin care. I love the sample that was given to me by my friend, which is the Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Balance Softener.

The Laneige Basic Skin Care makes my skin very soft and smooth. No more oily face and dry patches during the winter. :)

Have you guys tried any LANEIGE skin care products? Let me know what you think about it.

Different Blogs

Hi guys again! I'm thinking of separating each of my interests into a different blog. I don't want to confuse the readers asking "..so is this blog for make up or traveling?" Now, I'm contemplating to make a separate one for cooking and traveling. This blog will remain active strictly for make up and product reviews, make up hauls, etc. only. The others will be on a different blog. I will give you guys a heads up about my new blogs and will post the URLs here when it's up and running. Again, I am NOT deleting this blog.

Possible new blogs:
~For Traveling
~For Cooking
~Kawaii stuff/ Accessories (or maybe it should be included here too together with fashion since they kinda fall in the same category anyway)

I will let you guys know soon!

Boys Over Flowers - Kissing Star Necklace

Hi guys! I just wanted to share with you how I love and how I'm addicted to the korean drama "Boys Over Flowers" This time, I'm actually watching it for the second time with friends and bought all the volumes (2 DVD boxsets). Well to make my blabbering short, I bought a replica of the the necklace that was shown in that drama which is the Kissing Star Necklace. (Goo Jun Pyo gave it to Geum Jan Di). Well I don't know if you guys know what I'm talking about but it's worth seeing this drama. Anyway, I fell in love with that necklace and started my search craze for that necklace online which I found on Yesasia for $10.99! Oh how happy I was when I found it! LOL XD. The necklace arrived 2 weeks ago and I do not have any spare time to blog about it and share it with you guys that time. So here I am blogging about it..hehe.  Even though of course it's a replica, I <3 it so much that I almost wear it everyday.

Do you guys think it's pretty too? :)

Do guys have any favorite movies/drama etc as well? If so, please share! ;-)

Volturi vs. Bobbi Brown Review (Achieve Twilight's vampires sparkling skin)

This review is way overdue by the way. Ok so I know there are tons of Twilight die hard fans out there who want to achieve that vampire look: pale, red lips, sparkling skin. Well I'm here to review about two products which I found interesting to do a review on achieving that sparkling skin everytime the sun hits it. I bought the Volturi Twilight Immortal and Bobbi Brown Shimmering Body Oil. I wanted to compare both of these products based on how sparkly your skin can get. Remember we want to achieve that look ;-)

And don't worry! Your skin won't turn black with the Volturi one..lol

Here's the Volturi:

It comes with a nice bottle too!

Sorry! My hands are dry >.< Anyway I put a drop on my hand to show its consistency.

After:

Can you guys see the glitters?? :)  By the way, this one is unscented.

Next will be Bobbi Brown Shimmering Body Oil:

Don't forget to shake it..or else the distribution of its sparkling goodies wouldn't be even. :)

This one of course is liquidy compared to the other one because of the oil. Smells great too! Reminds me of summer...

You cannot really see it that much on this picture but it's less than the previous one. However, you can still see the sparkles in some angles. This is very subtle.

Overall:

I like the Volturi one in terms of the sparkliness. You can put it anywhere you want on your body. Nice shimmer! The Bobbi Brown one isn't too sparkly and it's a bit too shiny for the skin because of the oil. I would recommend it when you're at the beach. You get that glow on your body! In this review, I would recommend for you guys to try the Volturi Twilight Immortal one. Well it's really up to you guys which one you want but personally I like the first one better. Hopefully this review helped!

See ya!

Hi guys! I'm officially done with my fall semester and now I'm on my 1 month winter vacation :) I will be posting alot more from now on and hopefully will get a sense of good time management too! XD I have three shipments coming (hopefully by next week it's here). I ordered something from sasa, sephora, and twilightbeauty.com. Yes the last one seems a little strange. I wanted to do a review for those twilight fans out there (including me) :) haha Anyway, I was browsing through their website and found interesting eyeshadows(very dramatic ones) and before I forget, they actually have a sale going on right now throughout December: everything is 50% off. Here's the link: Twilight Beauty and they ship for free for orders $50 and up. You guys should check it out. I will post it up here as soon as I get it and have a review about it after a month or so to test everything out.

Bye for now! =)
